The Hawkesbury-trained mare was backed as the red-hot favourite at $1.30 in the Bathurst Communications F&M Maiden Plate (1108 metres) and she didn't disappoint the bookies, finishing ahead of Marc Conners' Palazzi Signorili in second and local hopeful Roy L McCabe's Destiny's Revolt in third.

Vella's strapper David Bradbury was trackside to witness the win and said the trainer would've been pleased with how You Rang raced.
"We just left it up to Chad. He knows her and he knows what he's doing, so we just left it up to him and we got the result," he said.
"[Vella] is very impressed with her. She's one of his favourites."
Friday's race was the seventh race of You Rang's career, with the four-year-old chestnut having finished second in her last two starts at Orange's Towac Park on December 28 and Muswellbrook on January 18 both resulting in second-place finishes.
There was also success for Bathurst trainers Don and Andrew Ryan on Friday, as Victory ($4.40) was ridden to victory in the Lithgow Furniture & Bedding Maiden Handicap (1308 metres) by fellow local jockey Ashleigh Stanley.
That win was Victory was her maiden, having run her first placing - a second - at Cowra on January 17.
