Last week, council approved a development application (DA) for new and replacement light towers that will service George Park 2.
Three submissions were lodged during the public exhibition period, with each one raising concerns about light spilling residents' homes.
Ruth McAuley said that the development "will have a big impact on me" and asked that council reject it.
"The lights might shine on to my house and through the windows," she said.
Understanding the concerns, deputy mayor Ian North asked if council would be checking the lights to ensure they weren't negatively affecting residents.

Director of Environmental, Planning and Building Services, Neil Southorn, confirmed the lights would be assessed after their installation.
"That will be undertaken and, in fact, it's a condition of consent that an assessment be undertaken at the time of commissioning to ensure that it is in accordance with the standards that are expected," he said.
George Park 2 is currently lit by two metal halide light towers located on the Rankin Street side of the oval.
Bathurst Bushrangers proposed that two new 27.1-metre towers be installed on the lower ground level and face north-west to provide an even amount of illumination over George Park 2.
The two existing light towers are to be upgraded.
Another concern raised in the submissions was that the additional lights would increase usage of George Park, but the club assured this wouldn't be the case.
"It is intended that the two new light towers and the upgraded light towers will continue to be used for weeknight training sessions only," Mr Southorn said in his report on the DA.
"No night games have been proposed and the development will not result in any change of use of the land."
