Earlier in the week, Weatherzone was predicting up to 20 millimetres of rain across the two-day period, however, as of Thursday morning, the forecast is indicating even more rain than previously predicted.
According to the meteorologists, the majority of the forecast rain is set to fall on Friday, with Weatherzone indicating an 80 per cent chance of anywhere from 10 to 20 millimetres of rain, on a day when the mercury is set to peak at 27 degrees, while reaching a minimum of 16.

There's expected to be an 80 per cent chance of rain on Saturday, which could bring five to 10 millimetres.
If the rain does fall, it continues Bathurst's good run of rain this month, with 68.8 millimetres falling already this throughout February.
The good run of rain in February comes after a fairly dry January, when only 36.2 millimetres of rain throughout the entire month, which included a 20-day streak of when rain didn't fall from January 8-27.
Recent rain has kept Bathurst's main water supply Ben Chifley Dam at an extremely healthy level, with capacity currently sitting at 99.2 per cent as of Tuesday, February 9.
And as of the same date, the dam's level alert is green, which means the dam is open to water related recreational activities.
The water level at the dam has remained consistently full since July last year, after consistent healthy rainfall fell in the region from March to the middle of last year raised the level of the dam from below 30 per cent to 100 per cent.
