About 4000 households in Bathurst, nearly one-quarter, have installed rooftop solar and Bathurst Regional Council's Renewable Energy Action Plan (2020) describes the exciting possibility of entering into a Power Purchase Agreement with a large-scale renewable energy generator.

For households without rooftop solar, an action during Earth Hour, which coincides with the expo, could be to offset household or vehicle emissions.
This can be done by searching online for carbon offset.
It doesn't cost much and is tax deductible.
