Jackson completed his first parkrun in Dubbo back in 2015 and has gone on to race in a parkrun run event in every state and territory in Australia, as well as in Singapore, France and the UK.
"My first one was in Dubbo because Bathurst didn't have one then. I had got onto the board of parkrun Australia, so I thought I better run a few parkruns if I want to contribute," he said.

"I was working between Bathurst and Dubbo, so I went along for my first parkrun. The bug really bit, so I came back to set it up in Bathurst."
Jackson competed in the first parkrun at Bathurst on July 30, 2016, and has since raced at that course on 139 occasions, as well as volunteering 150 times.
He's also gone on to finish first on three separate occasions at Bathurst parkrun, although his last win was back in August 2018.
And while the five kilometre run aspect of the event is enjoyable, Jackson said the community aspect of parkrun is what brings him back every week.
"The community that comes along with parkrun is what makes it different," he said.
"I've travelled the world, done parkrun in 56 different locations so far and this weekend will be another for me in Perth."
Bathurst parkrun is at 8am every Saturday, starting from Bicentennial Park.
