Pa's claimed their second 2-0 win of the season against their Bathurst rivals in Saturday's latest contest but they had to fend off waves of potent City attack throughout the game.
The Saints scored in the within the first few minutes of the match to immediately turn the screws on City.
Millie Fulton's initial shot was saved but the ball went straight to Amy Glenn at the top of the circle, who made no mistake with her strike to the low right corner.
That's the way the scoreboard remained until the final quarter where Glenn once again found herself in the right place at the right time to tap home another ball that came her way, this time next to the post.
St Pat's didn't match the clinical execution of their 7-1 win against Orange Ex-Services a week earlier but coach Ben Weal said Saturday's derby success was a worthy follow-up performance.
"We probably eased back a little bit after that first goal, which was a bit worrying, but we scored again in the last quarter, where we were really strong. That sealed it for us," he said.
"I thought City were quite strong. They had a couple of short corners but we defended them quite well. We were a bit frustrated by them in the midfield, though I feel like we were able to do the same to them. We were looking to limit their opportunities through there because that's where they're quite strong.
"I thought it was a solid performance from us, one week after a really good performance, and you can't be stringing amazing games together week after week. If you can keep winning the matches you should win then that's a step in the right direction."

Weal was proud of the way the team eventually overcame some troubles over the middle two quarters to find the goal which sealed the deal.
"When you get up so quickly in a match you can sometimes think 'Oh we've got this now' and everyone relaxes a bit. I think that let them back in a bit," he said.
"In the last quarter we started to get back on top of them again. That was some strong hockey."
City coach Mal Willott said the chances to strike back were always there but he remains impressed with the team's build-up play.
"They started strongly but we defended really well. They ended up scoring off one of our clearances after the keeper saved it ... and the goal in the second half, off a short corner, was a similar story when they scored off a rebound," he said.
"We played really well but we just can't get the luck of the hockey gods on our side. We just need that last touch. We had one off a short corner which the keeper just managed to save and that would have made it 1-all and given the girls a boost.
"Our attack was strong and we had or opportunities but they also defended quite well. Their coach, Ben, came up afterwards and said that they always struggle against us and it's a tough, hard match."
The teams now rest up over the June long weekend.
