For two evenings [Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17], audiences will be treated to a Christmas in July feast, accompanied by pantomime and cabaret entertainment.
Event co-directors Graham McNab and Helen Taylor have designed the event to offer members of the community an enjoyable, British-style Christmas event.
"We wanted to put something together that was more participation-based, as people are desperate to get out and party, so this event will invite the audience to be part of the show," Mr McNab said.
"The event has been inspired by British Christmas traditions, given that I'm English and Graham is Scottish, so we've tried to emulate celebrations that were commonplace in working men's clubs around Britain," Ms Taylor added.
The Christmas in July event will be hosted by local drag queen entertainer Betty Confetti, and include a pantomime based on Cinderella, dance performances and vocalists.
"Pure Imagination Performing Arts, one of our sponsors, has kindly come on board to choreograph the event," Mr McNab said.
"The event will also involve prizes and competitions, and NSW Discover vouchers can be used to partially cover the ticket price."
While Saturday has sold out, tickets are still available for the Friday show from www.ctsbathurst.com.au.
Tickets cost $60 [$45 for children under 12] and cover dinner.
