Perthville Public School joined the Beanies For Brain Cancer cause and students wore their favourite beanies to school on Friday.
The students were also provided with a hot lunch during their second break for a gold coin donation, raising more money for the foundation.

"Basically we just did it because it's not really one that everyone donates to; people donate to other types of cancer," school leader Jaya Farrar said.
"We've raised about $140 already ... all that money goes to Beanies For Brain Cancer."
The school's rugby league team entered the PSSA Rugby League Knockout earlier in the week and the Bridge Hotel supplied the whole team with Mark Hughes Foundation beanies.
Perthville School thanked the Bridge Hotel for its contribution and said it's been a combined effort to raise awareness.
