The university says the Charles Sturt Advantage program preferences students' personal attributes "such as communication, empathy, resilience and motivation, and takes into consideration their academic aptitude, including Year 11 results, to determine their success as a student and in the workforce".

Students who received an offer are able to attend an event on campus and interact with current students and peers to determine if CSU is the right university for them.
CSU said the top five courses in applications were Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Paramedicine, Bachelor of Education (K-12), Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Psychology.
Most interest came from the Riverina, Central West, Mid-North Coast, New England and north-east Victoria.
