Today marks 44 years since the death of the king of rock 'n' roll and no one commemorates this day more than Bathurst local Gerard Barnes.
He has labelled himself Bathurst's biggest Elvis fan and rightly so, having purchased every Elvis record and merchandise item released.

Mr Barnes also used to perform as Elvis for different events and even recorded covers of the music icon's songs.
"I recorded two songs of Elvis Presley's back in 1991, Judy and Wooden Heart, backed up by Peter Horan," he said.
"I used to do all the Elvis stuff. There'll never be another entertainer like him ever; [he's] the biggest star ever put behind a microphone."
Mr Barnes has fond memories of 'walking in Memphis' and visiting Elvis' home with his daughter Lee Buttsworth.
"When my daughter and I went to Graceland, oh, what a beautiful place," he said.
"We didn't only go there, we went to a few places in America, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and we went and saw where he performed at the Hilton in Vegas," Ms Buttsworth said.
Ms Buttworth cherishes the memories and relationship her and her father share over Elvis.
"Dad's been a fan of him since he was a teenager. He lives and breathes Elvis," she said.
"Every night, Dad used to sit in front of the record player and we'd be in bed and the songs would go over and over.
"To be honest, I know every word of every song.
"He'll come out on the weekends and stay at my place and we have to watch the documentaries and the movies.
"You've seen them about 100 times, but I still enjoy my time watching that with him ... I must admit I'm a fan."
Mr Barnes still has every Elvis item he ever bought and strongly believes that the star singer was the best performer there ever was and ever will be.
"There'll never be another entertainer like him ever," Mr Barnes said.
