The CSU initiative preferences personal attributes such as communication, empathy, resilience and motivation, and takes into consideration academic aptitude, including Year 11 results, to determine success as a student and in the workforce.
The university made more than 1500 offers in Round One of the program with 10 per cent of those going to Central West.
CSU figures show those offers included 26 to students completing Year 12 at Scots All Saints College, 20 to Denison College (Bathurst High) students and 20 to MacKillop College students.

Bathurst High Campus careers adviser Brett Hartmann said the ease of the application process had surprised students.
"A lot of students are feeling very anxious about getting places at university this year," Mr Hartman said.
"I encouraged them to apply to the early entry program to help them to get on with their HSC with a bit more confidence and less stress.
"Naturally, those that have received an offer are really excited."
Mackillop College careers adviser Julieanne McRae said that there had been a lot of interest in CSU's education, psychology, and nursing courses.
"Students were encouraged to apply as it gave them an early offer separate from the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) through the University Admissions Centre (UAC)," Mrs McRae said.
CSU interim vice-chancellor Professor John Germov said successful applicants would connect with the university community before beginning their studies next year.
"By creating a connection with current students, peers and the university's support services, our commencing students gain the confidence and skills to succeed in their studies," Professor Germov said.
Round Two of the Charles Sturt Advantage program will close on Tuesday, August 31 with offers expected to be made in late September.
