There have been six COVID-19 cases announced for Bathurst since Friday afternoon, but many people within the community have expressed their confusion to why there hasn't been any venues of concern listed by NSW Health.
Western NSW Health District Chief Executive, Scott McLachlan, said venues of concern are not announced if contact tracers are confident everyone at a certain location has been notified.

"One of the first things we do is contact all of the people that have been in a location of concern that we know about," he said.
"If we are sure we can contact all those people, then there's no use in portraying that information publicly and concerning everyone.
"If we are also sure that someone has come into a venue and there was no chance that there was anyone else in there - say it was a service station late at night and there was no one in there - then that information is not put out publicly."
Mr McLachlan said it can be harder to contact everyone in a venue such as Woolworths or Bunnings, but there are still measures in place contact tracers can use to know if someone is a close or casual contact.
"This can come from CCTV footage and a range of other things including the layout, who was in the facility and what the potential risk was," he said.
The only venues of concern listed recently are Subway outlet at 104 William Street between 12.50pm and 1.30pm on August 7 and Petrie's Mitre 10 hardware store at 12.35pm on Saturday, August 7.
Mr McLachlan urged people to check the Western NSW Health District Facebook page and website for updates.
