BATHURST doubled its number of new COVID cases in the latest 24-hour reporting period, according to NSW Health.

Bathurst had three new cases to 8pm on Tuesday and Western NSW Local Health District just six.
But the health district's new cases jumped to 27 in the latest update and Bathurst had six of them.
It followed a new venue of concern being named for Bathurst for time periods over two recent days.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole reported that Bathurst had 435 daily tests on Wednesday, which was slightly up on the 384 daily tests on Tuesday but still down on the 562 tests on Monday.
Dubbo had 12 of the new cases in the Western NSW Local Health District in the latest reporting period.
There were 12 deaths in the 24-hour reporting period, all of them in Sydney.
A new walk-in vaccination clinic which has opened at Kelso will have its last day tomorrow.
