The prediction was strong enough that Transport for NSW put out a traffic alert on Monday night that said, in part, that snow-clearing equipment was stationed at key locations in the region.
In the end, though, it wasn't needed.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Oberon Council put out an update just before 7am on Tuesday saying no roads had needed to be closed and drivers were simply advised to be cautious subject to the conditions.
Southwesterly and, later, southerly winds kept temperatures in the single figures for Bathurst on Tuesday, but sunny weather and temperatures in the mid to high teens are forecast for the rest of the week.
