The aqua park first came to Bathurst in 2018, but was unable to return in subsequent years due to the low water levels at Chifley Dam and the pandemic.
With the conditions having improved on both fronts, the park is able operate out at the dam and will likely open on November 20.
Owner of the park, Michael Hickey, said the inflatable equipment has been brought out of storage and was able to start being put in the water last Tuesday.
Five people are helping to assemble it, with it set to take a few weeks to complete.
"There is a bit involved," Mr Hickey said.
People can expect to see a similar array of obstacles at the park to climb over, slide down and jump off as last time, but he said some new equipment has been acquired.
"There's a little bit of new stuff sprinkled in between different stuff, so it will all get changed around this year," he said.
The aqua park's first season was cut short due to the dropping dam level and presence of blue green algae.
Thankfully, the Chifley Dam level is now over 100 per cent, making it much easier to accommodate the inflatable park.
"The depths are a lot better, and if it does drop a little bit, where it is at the moment you've got the depth so it won't affect it as much. It's really good," Mr Hickey said.
In addition to the inflatables, there will also be a kiosk established alongside the water, which will offer sandwiches, hotdogs, ice cream, cold drinks and coffee.
The aqua park recently put out a call for staff to work over the coming months.
Mr Hickey said staff numbers are "looking pretty good", but he is hoping to get a few more people on board before the anticipated opening date.
People can find details about how to apply for a position at www.bathurstaquapark.com.au.
Mr Hickey looks forward to welcoming patrons back to the park next month and encouraged people to plan their visit.
"Come out and have some fun, get away from all the lockdown," he said.
