Police, SES, paramedics and the police rescue unit all responded to a triple zero call for help just after 2.30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said the man was trapped under a large rock, pinned by the leg.
He said emergency crews were in the process of freeing him.
Among those responding to the call were Bathurst SES, Police Rescue and general duties police.

NSW Ambulance already had one crew at the scene, with another three units also assigned to the situation.
The spokesperson said air supported had also been called on with the Toll helicopter leaving Bankstown minutes ago enroute to the property.
