Vanessa Pringle Floral Designs wins Service Excellence category in the Sydney Market's 2021 Fresh Awards

The award ceremony was postponed a number of times due to COVID and has subsequently been cancelled.

However florist owner Vanessa Pringle and staff member Anna Smith will be making the trip to receive their award at a smaller presentation and a super excited to have won.

"It's a big recognition of how hard the girls work," Ms Pringle said.

"We really pride ourselves on customer service, we take it very seriously, so to be recognised and particularly to be recognised in the top four in the state and win, we're thrilled."

This is the first time the local florist has won a Fresh award and they were the only florist in the Central West to be listed as a finalist.

The finalists are judged on a point-based system.

Mystery shoppers visit the nominated stores and rate them on a number of categories including; store appearance, customer service and flower quality.

"It's comparing apples with apples, so everyone gets the same judging criteria," Ms Pringle said.

"It's legitimate, it's not something you can write a good application and get through, it's actually an experience that we're judged on."

The next award ceremony that the Vanessa Pringle team will be heading to is the Carillon Business Awards.

The florist is nominated in the Business Leader category and Excellence in Retail category.

In addition to being nominated, the local business is also sponsoring the award for the Excellence in Business 20+ staff category.

The Gala Presentation evening will be held at Bathurst Goldfields on Saturday December 4.

Ms Pringle thanked Bathurst locals for their ongoing support and also thanked her team for their hard work.

"Without them we wouldn't be here," she said.
