Official news on when the 12 Hour will be held has been scarce, however, some motor sport media outlets were reporting last month that the event would be held in March.
SRO Motorsports Group CEO Stephane Ratel unilaterally announced last month that the endurance race, which forms part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, was scheduled to take place on March 18-20.
That's a later start than previous 12 Hours, which has usually been held around the start of February.

However, that March date could cause some issues because it's the same weekend on which Sebring in Florida will host both the World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship.
It's likely that there would be 12 Hour drivers who would compete in either or both of the Florida championships.
When contacted about the 12 Hour, Bathurst Regional Council was unable to confirm the event's date.
Supercars, who owns the 12 Hour event, was contacted for clarification too.
The date for the event remains problematic for race fans, who would be eager to book tickets and plan travel to Mount Panorama next year.
There's also an issue for other events planned for the city, including the Bathurst Cup - a pre-season soccer carnival that attracts team from all across NSW - which is planning to run from February 5-6.
Players have been turned back when trying to book accommodation on that weekend because that was the original date the 12 Hour was booked, but that scheduled was planned before COVID-19.
If the Bathurst Cup is canned, the city will miss out on 4000 in visitors and millions into the economy, a big blow to the local community, considering the recent COVID-19 lockdown.
