Two of the probationary constables, Brandon Eggleton and Jordan Cartwright, will be staying in Bathurst, while the other two will head to Cowra and Lithgow.
It's Constable Cartwright's first time in Bathurst, while Constable Eggleton is happy to be back after spending four years in town during his university studies.
"It's great; now I get to come back to Bathurst and put what I've learnt into action," Constable Eggleton said.
Being in the police force is something he has wanted to do for as long as he can remember, but he felt he needed some life experience first.
After graduating from high school in 2015, Constable Eggleton worked in different jobs and studied at university before deciding it was the right time to apply for the academy.
Now the probationary constable is looking forward to starting his career and learning more about what policing has to offer.
"That's the best thing about the cops - it's a good opportunity to learn, talk to as many different people as you can and find out the different areas and what might interest you," he said.
Constable Cartwright is also looking forward to learning different things and experiencing country life in Bathurst after growing up in Wollongong.
With a passion for making the roads safer, the young constable hopes to venture into Highway Patrol.
"Protect and serve, I think that's what it's all about - protecting and serving the country all the way down to our local communities and making it a safer place for everyone to live freely, and as a police officer, having an active role in that and making our community safer," he said.
Chifley Police District Acting Commander Bruce Grassick welcomed the four probationary constables to the region and said it will be great to have them on board approaching the holiday period.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said it's wonderful to see the new officers starting their careers in Bathurst and he is sure they will bring a real boost to the Chifley Police District.
