The new venue has replaced Machattie Park during the pandemic, as it allows crowd numbers to be controlled in a COVID-safe way.
The conservatorium's Carols at Tremain's was held on Sunday night and was a sell-out event.
It featured a range of traditional carols and newer Christmas songs, performed by local talents such as Alana Datt, Curtis James, Bethany Carter, Martyn Cook and Kylie Martinez.
New executive director of the conservatorium, Andrew Smith, said it was a wonderful night.
"It was a really good night. The place was packed; we had 500 people there," he said.
"... There was lots of people, lots of kids, everyone was in the spirit of it and it was a great vibe."
The night was also a first for Mr Smith, who was at the helm for the first time as the conservatorium's executive director.
"I had a ball. It was great to be musical director for the night. We had a great band, made up of our teachers, and it was just a pleasure to work with them. I just had an absolute ball doing it, it was lots of fun," he said.
While Tremain's Mill has been a good setting for the Carols, the hope is the event can move back to Machattie Park for 2022.
Mr Smith said, COVID permitting, the conservatorium would plan for a bigger and better event in the park.
"I'm not going to promise anything, because we don't know, but we'll be planning for a Machattie Park event for next year, with bigger stuff, more acts," he said.
