And while the points are still being tallied and won't be available until after Christmas, Bathurst Little Athletics Club president Mike Curtin said it was a great event.
"We did really well. We had 24 Bathurst athletes compete out of 125 and the other athletes came from all over the place," he said.
"It was held to enable kids to get back into competition, given that our normal zone championships had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
"It gives them another opportunity of competition until we have the zone three regional championships, which will be held at Barton Park at Dubbo in the first weekend on February.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for lots of kids to get out and compete in a festive atmosphere before all the centres shut down for the summer break."
Curtin mentioned a number of local athletes that performed well at the meeting including Byron Rosier, Will Curtin, Carla Grimm, Kobe Borgstahl and Tahlia Rumming.
"Byron did really well. I'm pretty sure he's going to win the under 11s boys," he said.
"I know Will will win the under 12s boys, having won the 100m, 200m, 800m, high jump and long jump.
"Carla Grimm competed extremely well, so did Kasey Wallace. Kobe Borgstahl also went extremely well, as well as Tahlia Rumming. Tahlia broke the centre record for under 17s shot put on Thursday night and back up with a really good carnival on Sunday."
Another Western Ranges Zone combined carnival will be held at Springwood on January 30.
The Australian Track and Field Championships (open and underage) will be held from April 12-19 at the Sydney Olympic Park, while the Australian Little Athletics Championships are scheduled to take place at Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne on April 23-24.
Sunday's event was the last major event for the club this year, with weekly club nights ending on December 16 and returning on January 27.
