It was the club's first event for the year and even attracted a few cyclists from outside of Bathurst.
Club member and junior co-ordinator Toireasa Gallagher said it was a great start to the year with everyone getting involved.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"It was good, we had a huge range of riders," Gallagher said.
"We probably had 40 entries all up which turned out well and ... it's a good time of the day as well up there, 6:00pm, it's taken the heat out of the day so it works well.
"We had the mums even that brought their kids up stay and have a race in the D grade so that's the whole point of it, it's one place and everyone can have a go ... and it's not a massive, time-consuming afternoon."
Unlike the longer road races that require a great amount of stamina, the criterium races are much quicker and about the intensity.
It was a fast and fun way to begin the year for Craig Hutton who took out the A grade event, Ian Grant who won the B grade, Bruce Hutton who won the C grade and Peter Hickey who was successful in the D grade.
The juniors event was taken out by Billy Yeo who had made the trip from Orange to compete.
Gallagher said the club hopes to build on numbers each week as they run the criterium races each Tuesday evening in January, in the lead up to their championships in February.
