It was the city's first rain of the year and it came at the beginning of what is predicted to be a stormy couple of days for the region.
It was also accompanied by a sticky night in which the temperature was still 20 degrees at 1am.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued an initial flood watch for the Belubula River catchment, but not for any other catchments in the Central Tablelands or the Central West at this stage.
