The Silver Tunnel, presented by The Rev Bill Crews Foundation and starring Ric Herbert and Tim Matthews, is a play that confronts the difficult topic of suicide by celebrating life, with lots of laughs along the way.
The play will simultaneously act as a promotion for The Rev Bill Crews Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation who has spent the last few decades supporting poor, homeless and disadvantaged people across the country.
"Like all our endeavours, this inspiring touring production is primarily aimed at raising awareness and funds for the poor and disadvantaged people we protect - as well as to introduce our services to new areas," Rev Crews said.
"At the 2020 season of The Silver Tunnel, our homeless, often struggling, guests sat side by side with 'normal' theatre goers, and they all loved it and got the same message...the wonder and value of life."
The play was written by Warwick Moss and originally performed in 1988.
The Silver Tunnel will be presented for free at Bathurst Uniting Church on April 8 [8pm] and 9 [4pm and 8pm].
