WHEN the Bathurst girls won gold at the under 13s State Indoor Championships in 2019 it had plenty to do with the talent of goalkeeper Georgia Baillie - now she shapes as a key figure for the under 15s.

Baillie made two critical saves off short corners in the space of a minute in the under 13s gold medal match three years ago to help Bathurst to a 3-1 win over Orange.
Due to COVID-19 that was the last time an indoor state championships was held, but this Friday when the postponed 2021 under 15 girls titles get underway at Orange PCYC, Baillie will no doubt have plenty of skills to showcase.
"We have some really experience there in our side and Georgia has actually been playing at the indoor comp in Orange, so she's well up on it," Bathurst coach Sheree Richards said.
"She's a really energetic keeper anyway, so she'll be a great asset for us.
"You'll find the goalkeepers are throwing themselves around everywhere, up and and down and up and down."
The Bathurst under 15s girls will play in division two, with the side also including Giaan Willott, Clare Harris, Kelsie Richards, Caiti and Chloe Sherlock and Michaela Bowker.
It's a mix of those who have represented Bathurst in indoor before plus new faces and Richards said they are all looking forward to the challenge.
"Everyone is just desperate to play, all the carnivals and state champs have just been decimated the last couple of years, so everyone is just keen to have a run," she said.
"Because it moves so fast you have to get the outdoor habits out of your head and get into the indoor groove, hitting the boards and keeping it flat - because it's so quick you don't have time to have a little snooze on the field."
Richards admits the competition in division two will be stiff, but is hoping Bathurst can finish its round games in the top two and advance to the decider.
They begin on Friday against Northern Sydney and Beaches before going on to meet Parkes, Metro South West, Sydney East and hosts Orange.
The final, should they make it, is 1pm Sunday.
