The right-arm medium pace bowler beat the bat of Adelaide number three Tahlia McGrath and watched as her delivery connected with leg stump.
It was the second wicket of her Women’s Big Bash League career and was a moment that helped Thunder on its way to its second win over the Strikers in as many days.
The double-header at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena saw Griffith re-called to Thunder’s starting XI. She had played in the season opener against Melbourne Renegades and took 1-20 off her four overs as she and her team-mates notched up a win.
With Indian star Harmanpreet Kaur then arriving in Australia, Griffith missed out on the starting line-up for games two and three.
However, with Australian representative Rachael Haynes rested for the Hobart rounds, Griffith was recalled.

“It will provide an opportunity for LG, who played really well in game one and was a little disappointed to miss out [last weekend],” Sydney Thunder skipper Alex Blackwell said.
With the depth of bowling talent in Sydney Thunder’s line-up, Griffith was one of seven options for Blackwell.
On Saturday she was thrown the ball in the ninth over, at which time the Strikers were struggling at 4-44.
Her first three deliveries went for singles and she was unlucky not to strike on the following ball as she drew the outside edge from Tegan McPharlin, but wicket-keeper Rachel Priest could not get her gloves to it.
Griffith backed that up with two dots, but she found it tougher when thrown the ball again in the 19th over. Not normally used at the death, she conceded three boundaries as the Strikers hunted for quick runs.
Still, the Strikers were bowled out for 132 in the final over and Thunder reached that target with six wickets in hand.
On Sunday Thunder beat the Strikers once more – this time by five wickets – and Griffith finished with 1-2 off her sole over.
