The eye-watering sum of money is the result of no division one winners for the past eight weeks.
The Central West has had its fair share of big winners in recent times, with a number of residents becoming instant millionaires.
So far Bathurst has been the luckiest location, with three big money wins so far this year.
In January a Bathurst couple won $20 million, in February there was a $200,000 win and in March a another person scored $200,000,
Other big wins in the region this year include a Mudgee man who won $1m in April, in May an Orange man won $1m and in June a Blayney man won $200,000.
While in May last year a Dubbo person won $1.4m, in July a Bathurst woman scored $100,000 and in August a Lithgow man scored $35m after sharing the Division One jackpot in Oz Lotto.
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said with $80 million on offer Australians could experience a flashback to 2012.
"The last time Oz Lotto sky-rocketed this high Australians were dancing to Psy's Gangnam Style and listening to Carly Rae Jespen's Call Me Maybe," she said.
"It was a big year for sport after Team Australia earned 35 medals at the London Olympics, Sydney Swans were crowned the champions in the AFL grand final and the Melbourne Storm took home the title in the NRL grand final.
"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started dating as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes called it quits and Prince William and Kate Middleton announced they were expecting their first child.
"Back on home soil, 2012 saw Oz Lotto climb to a record-breaking $100 million - the last time the game offered a jackpot above $70 million.
Ms Spencer said she expects that one-in-four Australian adults will have an entry in the $80 million Oz Lotto draw.

How to win
To win Division One you need to match your seven chosen numbers in a single game with the seven winning numbers from the draw.
A minimum of three winning numbers plus at least one supplementary number is necessary to win the lowest Division (7).
Winning combinations for each Division are shown below. For each game line only the highest division will be paid out.
