The event, which will take place at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, is part of VERTO's Inspire Series, which was launched last year to deliver free inspirational experiences to members of the community.
"VERTO's Inspire Series is all about helping to motivate and educate local communities," chief executive officer Ron Maxwell said.
"We're excited to provide access to another outstanding speaker, allowing the Bathurst community to benefit from his message of determination and persistence."
Mr Davidson is best known for his heroic efforts during the ill-fated 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, where six sailors tragically lost their lives.
If it wasn't for the efforts of Mr Davidson, the death toll could've been much higher.
Mr Davidson was lowered from a helicopter into a sea featuring 25-metre-high waves and 120 kilometre per hour wind gusts to rescue the eight sailors manning the 'Standaside' yacht.
During the ordeal, Mr Davidson almost lost his life twice and had to rely on quick-thinking and brave determination to successfully weather the terrible storm.
As part of his talk, Mr Davidson will show footage of the rescue, and regularly receives standing ovations for his presentations.
Mr Davidson's presentation will cover a range of key topics including succeeding in a high risk environment, teamwork, goal-setting and combating self-doubt.
VERTO's inaugural Inspire Series event last year featured well-known motivational speaker John Coutis, who was born with underdeveloped legs and travels around on a customised skateboard.
The event was attended by 250 people, including school students, VERTO clients, members of the public and community leaders.
VERTO is a community owned, not-for-profit organisation delivering a range of community support, employment and training services to assist individuals, employers and industries across NSW.
Mr Davidson's talk at BMEC will commence from 8am on Tuesday, July 16. To register, call 1300 4 VERTO or visit inspireseriespeterdavidson.eventbrite.com.au.
