"A resident returned home to see a male walking down his driveway carrying a green bag, when he got closer to his home he noticed a front window was smashed," officers said.
"He quickly got in his car and located the male a short distance away.
"Most of the property in the bag, including a video game, phone and a watch were his."
Police said the male then handed over the property before running off.
Officers are now viewing closed circuit television (CCTV) footage from neighbours in the hope of identifying the male.
