Charlie the cocky had to stay outside residents' rooms due to the necessary coronavirus restrictions, but he proved extremely popular nonetheless.

The visit was arranged by RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village lifestyle officer Seru Zanco and volunteer Dennis Gay, who owns Charlie.
"It was so lovely seeing our residents' faces light up when they saw Charlie through the windows," Mr Zanco said.
"Our residents absolutely loved the visit."
