Bathurst man Damien Albon is among hundreds of people across the Central West and thousands across the globe to be inspired by viral Facebook group Bin Isolation Outing.
Created by former Grenfell woman Danielle Askew, the group pokes fun that during coronavirus lockdowns and restrictions wheelie bins go out more than people do.
It encourages people to get dressed up in wild and wacky costumes to take their bin to the kerb and video the entire thing.
Recently, South Bathurst resident Mr Albon decided to dress as Dracula to take his bin out.
"A couple of girls from work came across this dress and said 'it'd look good on you' so I said 'I'm going to put it on to take the bins out'," he said.
"My wife and daughter filmed it and there were a couple of cars going past that were giving up a beep.
"We had heaps of people comment on my video, there were people saying 'cheers mate, thanks for keeping us smiling'."
Like many other people Mr Albon said he had been "getting a laugh" out of the videos posted to the Facebook group of crazy costumes and skits that people had been doing while taking out their bin.
"I figure if they're having a laugh at me then that's OK," he said.
Mr Albon said he's already planning another costume for his next Bin Isolation Outing and urged his neighbours on Bant Street to keep an eye out for him.
