The event launched last year in honour of the late Ash James, who lost his battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2018 at the age of 37.
Cruise & Shine coordinator Mel James [Ash's brother] said Can Assist played a vital role in supporting Ash during his treatment, and stages the fundraiser to help the organisation further assist local cancer patients.
"The funds we raise stay in Bathurst via the local Can Assist branch, which is distributed to local families in need of financial support," Ms James said.
"We had to reorganise this year's event due to COVID-19, which involved people getting together in groups of 20 or less, a Facebook live raffle and a heart wall raffle."
The major prize from the Facebook live raffle was a three-night holiday at Kiama's Big4 Easts Beach Holiday Park.
Can Assist Bathurst president Gen Croaker said the funds will go a long way towards making life as comfortable as possible for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
"The financial difficulties brought about by a downturn in employment has resulted in more claims than ever before," Ms Croaker said.
"The James family has done a remarkable job and we're incredibly grateful for their support."
The fundraiser raised $22,500 last year.
