The three exhibitions: Adrienne Doig: It's All About Me!, Jurgis Miksevicius: In the Light of the Sun and the Shadow of the Moon and Linda Chant: hold me, cover me, examine the mediums of self-portraiture, Bauhaus art and sculpture respectively.
Ms Doig's exhibition draws on three decades of her work, fusing historical references and humour to respond to the everyday and reflect on now.
"I try to depict myself through art in numerous ways and while each work is a self-portrait, they take place within a variety of mediums," she said.
"My artistic representation takes on various roles within the portraits, and serve as expressions of my social, environmental and political views."
Ms Doig's portraits make use of a range of materials, including textiles, porcelain, cardboard and sculpture, and she hopes observers will take plenty of meaning from the exhibition.
"Hopefully visitors will be able to see themselves in some of the situations I've placed focus on," she said.
"I often use a device where my profile is depicted from the rear to welcome observers to put themselves in my position."
A series of Saturday morning craft workshops for children will run across January complementing Ms Doig's exhibition.
BRAG director Sarah Gurich said the exhibitions from Miksevicius and Chant will further illustrate the gallery's exciting offerings over the summer.
"The work of Jurgis Miksevicius explores his time at the Bathurst Migrant Camp in the late 1940s, where he was commission to create a series of educational murals throughout the camp, which commenced his art career in Australia," Ms Gurich said.
"On the other hand, Linda Chant's exhibition uses sculpture to reimagine the way we interact with everyday objects."
"It's a wonderful summer program, and we encourage the community to come and take a peek."
The exhibitions will be on display until February 7. For more information, visit bathurstart.com.au.
