In a clash between two of the in-form at the Sportsground, Saints finished the day at 7-255 after 82 overs, with Slattery's total of 100 the main highlight, although openers Bailey Brien and Andrew Brown performed well, scoring 75 and 46 respectively.

The performance was Slattery's best outing with the bat this season - his previous high score was 75 back in round four against CYMS - and strangely enough, his last century of 152 also came against Colts back in November last year.
Wayne Sellers did his best to restrict the Saints, taking five wickets, but neither him or any of his teammates were able to dismiss Slattery or the entire Saints batting order.
With his massive performance with the bat, Slattery is now up to six for the most runs during the 2020-21 season, notably behind teammate Brien in fifth, while Colts' Russell Gardner leads the way 308.
Like ladder leaders Cavaliers, the second placed Saints are also yet to taste defeat this season and leading by 255 runs heading into day two, they're in a good position to avoid a loss once again.
However, Colts are no strangers to putting on big scores and considering they put on 330 in one innings two rounds ago, so there's still plenty of work left for Saints if they want to claim victory.
If Saints don't declare before play resumes next Saturday, Slattery and Hugh Parsons (2) will return to bat.
