Marie McGrath, who was described as having "touched the lives of so many people across the Bathurst region", received her award at a morning tea attended by her close friends and family members.
The morning tea was hosted by Member for Bathurst Paul Toole, who presented Ms McGrath with a special hand-crafted memento and certificate signed by Premier Gladys Berejiklian.

The state member also thanked Lorna Ryan from the Senior Spice Girls for her efforts in nominating Ms McGrath as a Community Service Award recipient.
"Marie has touched the lives of so many people across the Bathurst region and, despite being humbled by all the attention, really does deserve this type of recognition," Mr Toole said.

"Many residents might not realise, but Marie was an organist and local music teacher who played the War Memorial Carillon for many years.
"As well, her involvement with the Carillon Theatrical Society and Bathurst Players also brought much joy to the community."
