In addition to the rides, stalls, food vans and showbags, the Fun Fair Summer Splash, as it is being billed, will also feature a host of water slides and, for the first time in a little over two years, public fireworks.

Event manager Jade Evans said the event will provide greater value for money in comparison to the previous two fairs, held in the latter half of last year.

"The admission prices are the same as before [$5 entry or $30 online for entry and unlimited rides for four hours], but with the water slides and fireworks, there's more for visitors to see and do," Ms Evans said.

"Every aspect of the event is focused around families, and after the impacts of bushfires, drought and COVID-19, we want the event to be accessible for all."

The event will also include sandcastle building, a foam pit, and a pie-eating contest on Australia Day, with pies to be provided by local business Luscious Lucy Plump 'mmm' Juicy.

"We need to celebrate small business and Australia Day...it's really important for our community," Ms Evans said.

"The event has a detailed COVID-safe plan and as we have more space at our disposal this time, we encourage families to bring a picnic rug."

The event will take place from Saturday to Tuesday [Australia Day], opening from 11am to 8.30pm with fireworks on Saturday and Tuesday evening.
