Griffith was named in the New South Wales Breakers squad which headed to Melbourne for the double-header against Victoria which will open their Women's National Cricket League season.
Star wicketkeeper and opener Healy will skipper the Breakers, Griffith's team-mates also including other Australian stars in Rachael Haynes, Ash Gardner and Erin Burns.
The 28-year-old Bathurst all-rounder returned to the Breakers squad in 2018 and last season when Healy was absent on national duties, got her chance to captain the state side.
Griffith played a role in guiding the Breakers to their 24th consecutive WNCL final. She finished the season with four wickets and scored 114 runs from her six knocks, the highlight a 65 against Tasmania.
In the build up to the new WNCL season Griffith not only made an appearance in the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket competition for Centennials Bulls - she took 3-21 off 21 overs - but lined up in the NSW Women's Premier Cricket competition for Penrith.
That is where she found herself bowling to Healy on Sunday, trapping the Sydney opener LBW for four. Griffith finished with 2-33 off her 10 overs in a game Penrith lost by two wickets.
Against Victoria Griffith will face a host of talented rivals including the likes of Australian skipper Meg Lanning and gun all-rounder Ellyse Perry.
But Breakers head coach Dom Thornely said Griffith and the rest of his squad is ready for the challenge.
"Our squad has a terrific blend of experience and talent," Thornely said.
"We have enjoyed the senior players being around our pre-season and we are really excited to take on a very strong team in Victoria. It is a fantastic opportunity to play with and against many of the best players in our country, something that we may look back on in years to come.
"Overall, our preseason has seen our squad become the fittest Breakers squad assessed and that is a compliment to the players and their commitment to our program.
"We are all really looking forward to playing games, representing the baggy blue cap and playing the style of cricket we have successfully played for many years in this competition."
Thornley named a squad of 13 for the double-header, which will play Victoria on Wednesday and Friday at St Kilda's Junction Oval.
