The Hartley trainer has been pleased by the progress the Bling It On two-year-old has showed in her pair of trials in the lead up to her first up run in the HRNSW Guaranteed 2YO Pace (1,730 metres).
She goes up against six other debutant runners in the last event of the night.
Conroy said her development over the space of two trials bodes well for her first look at race day.
"We're really happy with her. She hasn't done all that much. She's had a couple of trials. In her first trial at Menangle she had a look at the mobile and just followed them around and was a bit lost," he said.
"She went to Penrith last week and she qualified there. She ran third and she had a much better idea of what was going on. We put her in this week to give her a run and just see how she goes."
Finery has landed the inside draw for her debut.
"She can just sort of poke out from there and find a spot and hopefully work home real good," he said.
"A lot of it is just about getting the experience. At this stage everything is going to plan so we're pretty happy."
Finery is a Bling It On filly out of a Bettors Delight mare Dazzle N Daze - her first foal.
The form guide from a breeding perspective is quite limited, since Dazzle N Daze was also the only foal out of the New Zealand-based Christian Cullen mare Amboseli.
"She's very nicely bred, out of a Bettors Delight mare, who is out of a Christian Cullen mare. Her mother, who only had 16 starts was a non-winner, but her granddam won $70,000 in New Zealand.
"Her mother [Rafiki] was from the Dairy Maid family, who are a very strong family. They're the family of Monkey King and Karloo Mick."
Finery won't be lining up for a Gold Tiara tilt this season but Conroy has the Breeders Challenge on the radar should she show potential.
Will Rixon will have the drive on Conroy's filly.
Naturally, there's little to no form to go off for the race, but one of the runners to watch will be the horse directly to the outside of Finery, Silk Cloud.
The Tony Higgs-trained and driven Shadow Play filly has been busy with trials over the past two months.
She's run six times on the Bathurst track and has never finished worse than second in any of those runs, which makes her the likely candidate to start as favourite in her debut run.
Other runners in the race are Ben Detto (trained by Steve Turnbull), The Accidental One (Darrell Dwyer), Zebs Arwoc (Greg Cattell), Salty Sandra (Graham Betts) and Rainbow Titan (Leigh Davis).
Conroy and Rixon will pair up earlier in the meeting on Bandsix.
The five-year-old has been up and down in form recently but did find a long awaited win at Penrith four starts ago.
He will go around in the Barkers Butchery Pace (1,730m).
Racing starts from 6.23pm.
