The Duggans team will be recording as many push-ups as they can during the first 25 days of June, raising awareness and funds for mental health.
"Considering Covid and all of the lock downs and all of the pressures that have come with that, we thought it would be good to invest in some mental health for our staff," Mrs Daunt said.
Having run the local Irish pub for close to 14 years, Helen and her husband Glyn have participated in a number of charity events with their Duggans team but this is the first time they'll be testing their biceps.
"We do do quite a few charity events over the years," Mrs Daunt said.
"We've done Riding for the Disabled, Camp Quality and we sponsor lots of sporting teams. We've done a lot - I can't remember them all.
"I don't know how good we're going to be at push-ups but hopefully we'll be a little bit better by the end of the month than we are at the start."
Not really sure what to expect, the only goal Mrs Daunt has set her team is to have fun and do their best to promote a good cause.
"I think it's just really important to look after the mental health of the staff and this is a really good way of drawing some attention to it and also to just have some fun and do something physical," she said.
"We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain... maybe even some biceps."
To help the fundraiser gain more momentum, Jack Duggans has challenged some other local pubs to jump on board as well.
