Central West's newly acquired COVID-19 case reported in Bathurst

The single positive case was recorded for the Bathurst region.

It was the first time in nine days that there were no new cases recorded in the Cabonne LGA where a COVID cluster in Molong has now passed 50.

Statewide, NSW has recorded 260 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm on Sunday.

This figure is up by 52 from the previous reporting period on Monday.

Two COVID-related deaths were recorded, with 155 hospital cases receiving treatment for the virus and 28 cases in ICU.

Figures for people aged 12-15 are at 81.3 per cent for one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine received and 77.2 per cent of people aged 12-15 have received two doses.

Testing figures are at 58,706 in the last 24-hour period.
