Sock it to him: Police arrest alleged thief after car crash

POLICE have retrieved 18 pairs of stolen hockey socks and two hockey sticks following a car crash on Gormans Hill Road.

Police were called to the scene of the crash about 3.30pm on Tuesday and found the driver and a passenger uninjured.

However, a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered the suspected stolen goods.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with offences including a breach of bail.

He will appear in Lithgow Children’s Court at a later date.
