A man has died following a two-vehicle crash near Orange this morning. Police were called to the intersection of Lake Canobolas Road and Cargo Road about 9.15am following reports a Hyundai Elantra and Ford Everest had collided. The 64-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was trapped in the vehicle for a short period of time before being freed by emergency services. He was taken to Orange Hospital where he later died. Also making news: The 40-year-old female driver of the Everest was not injured during the incident. She returned a negative result to roadside breath test. Officers from Central West Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
