Funds received will go to a range of areas including cultural, sporting, historical, and community programs and events that will be held throughout the year.
The Bathurst Edgell Jog Committee received the biggest grant, which will go towards assisting with the costs associated with traffic management required to hold the Edgell Jog.
Committee treasurer Ray Stapley said the grant helps keep the Edgell Jog registration fees at its good prices.
“We really appreciate what council does with these grants. It’s really good for the city,” he said.
“We don’t want to push the prices up for the Edgell Jog. We want to make it a great family day and this grant keeps the prices down.
“We’ve got great support from the council, as well as the RMS and police, who help us plan the road closures.”
