Fluro Friday is an initiative of OneWave, a not-for-profit surf community, that aims to raise awareness for mental health issues.
Every Friday the group gets together in fluro in an effort Ito make a bold statement about mental health and wellbeing.
Founded in 2013, OneWave's Fluro Friday events have now spread to more than 100 beaches in over 20 countries, and on October 19, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the event at Bondi Beach.

Mr Triming, who visited Machattie Park dressed in bright orange instead of his usual yellow, said he was inspired to embrace the day after recent experiences with cyberbullying.
“Cyberbullying is one of the newest contributors [to poor mental health],” he said.
“People just don’t think when they do things.”
As a Vietnam veteran, Mr Triming said he used to suffer mentally after returning from the war and had at one point accessed counselling.
He appreciated the message behind Fluro Friday and wanted to bring it to Bathurst to help further spread awareness of mental health.
“We can think of Fluro Friday anywhere else, because it does apply,” Mr Triming said.
“I’m sure they wouldn’t mind other people in the state thinking of Fluro Friday.”
Mr Triming said he chose to visit Machattie Park as he felt that the beauty of the area could help people to think about the good things in life instead of only the bad.
