While most businesses traditionally close over Christmas and New Year, the Chifley Dam facility will remain open for families.
Owner Michael Hickey said the decision was made last week as a result of interest from patrons, who were eager to visit on Christmas Day.
"It gives them something to do on Christmas Day," he said.
People will be able to use the park between 12pm and 5pm.
The park opened at the dam in early November and at the time Mr Hickey wasn't sure what the opening hours would be like for the public holidays.
With patronage being as good as it has been, the owners are happy to stay open.
"We won't close now. We'll be open on Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, right through seven days a week," Mr Hickey said.
Right back to when the aqua park was still in the early stage of planning, the promise was that the facility would extend its days of operation from four to seven during school holiday periods.
This started in mid-December, giving people more opportunities to use the park.
However, schools have already been some of the biggest supporters.
Mr Hickey said a lot of schools "from all over" had been bringing students to the park for an excursion and the flow had been "pretty consistent" in recent weeks.
The feedback continues to be glowing for Bathurst Aqua Park, which has maintained a five-star rating on Facebook since it opened.
“We have come two weekends in a row bringing family from out of town and it has been a highlight of their trip,” one person wrote.
Another said, “Super organised, clean and new, but the best bit was how genuinely nice your staff were.”
Mr Hickey hopes to see people coming out over the summer months to enjoy the park, saying that with such a big facility, there will always be space for everyone.
“People can travel out here and I can guarantee them a spot,” he said.
