BATHURST police are appealing for information after a vehicle was destroyed by fire earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to a home on Rocket Street about 3.40am on Tuesday following reports of a vehicle fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire, however, the vehicle was destroyed.
A portable gazebo was also destroyed and the main dwelling at the property obtained minor smoke and heat damage.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the matter.
CCTV footage obtained from the area reveals an unknown person running west towards Cummings Street at the time of the incident.
It is believed the person could have burns to the hands and arms.
