PCYC manager, Dave Hitchick, said Time4kids is an annual event, and one of the club's major fundraisers.
"Every year we do this to help fund some of the programs we offer children through the club," he said.
One of the most popular and successful programs offered through the club is the Fit For Life program, which he said has been fantastic.
Fit For Life is an early intervention program designed to engage youth ages 10 to 17 who are at risk of poor choices and anti-social behaviour. Through physical fitness, nutrition and social engagement, Fit For Life aims to improve overall wellbeing as well as prevent and divert youth from offending behaviours.
A PCYC bus goes around and gets the kids early, they have breakfast and play sport before heading off to school.
"The kids really love it. They wait out the front of their house every morning for the bus to come and pick them up," Mr Hitchick said.
"These are kids who face challenges in their life, and their getting up three hours early just to get to school," he said.
Karla McDiarmid, who was one of the first people to be locked up and looking for bail on Thursday morning supports the event every year.
She said she loves being involved.
"It's lots of fun, and it's a great way to give something back to the community."
She said as a child she remembers doing lots of fun things at the PCYC.
"They do a wonderful job," she said.
